Our Vision
Our heart is to create independent Christian music through our label, Upstream Records, that the Holy Spirit uses to draw people to salvation, encourage believers, and speak to hearts in ways only God can.
Through music, concerts, and worship gatherings, our desire is to share the hope of the Gospel and point people to Jesus Christ.
The Meaning of “Upstream”
The name Upstream reflects a powerful biblical principle. While Scripture may not use the modern word upstream, the idea is woven throughout the teachings of Jesus and the Christian life.
Following Christ often means moving in a different direction than the culture around us — choosing faith, obedience, and truth even when it requires courage.
Going Against the World’s Current
Jesus taught that following Him would require living differently from the world.
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind." — Romans 12:2
The Narrow Way
The Christian life is described as a narrow road — one that requires faith, perseverance, and intentional discipleship.
"Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many." — Matthew 7:13–14
Returning to the Source — Living Water
Spiritually, going upstream points us back to the true source of life — God Himself. Rather than depending on human systems or expectations, we remain connected to Christ, the Living Water.
"For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns… that can hold no water." — Jeremiah 2:13
Strength, Perseverance, and Faith
Walking with Christ requires endurance and trust in Him through every season.
"Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus." — Hebrews 12:1–2
Led by the Spirit, Not the Current
As believers, we are called to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit rather than the shifting currents of the world.
"For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." — Romans 8:14

As a name, Upstream Records reflects a bold, faith-filled commitment to walk with Jesus — even when the journey requires strength, courage, and trust in Him.
Our Ministry Mission
We are committed to making concerts and ministry events accessible to everyone. Whenever possible, we offer:
• Low-cost tickets • “Give what you can” options • Free admission events
We never want someone to stay away because of financial limitations.
We also desire to partner with other ministries to host benefit concerts and outreach events that support their missions and expand the reach of the Gospel.
The Investment Behind the Music
Producing high-quality music requires significant investment.
Studio recording, producers, engineers, and professional musicians typically cost $5,000 or more per song, not including marketing or promotion.
Outreach concerts and worship nights also involve expenses such as:
• Venue rental • Musicians and sound teams • Travel and transportation • Food and lodging • Ministry materials and outreach support
